The Faculty of Literature and Humanities, with a new large and modern building added to its facilities in the upper campus, provides a comprehensive education for those who wish to pursue a career in humanities and Persian language and literature.
The faculty is one of the older faculties on campus with seven major departments: Geography, History, Persian Language and Literature, Theology, Philosophy, Social Science and Law. It also includes Geomorphology laboratory and Meteorological Center.
The faculty publishes a quarterly journal since 1964 representing the articles written by its faculty members.
In addition to undergraduate degrees, the faculty offers Masters' degrees in most of its fields and PhD degrees in Human Geography, Natural Geography, Persian Language and Literature, Linguistics, and Sociology.
